MARS Japanese Whisky
The Hombo Shuzo Ltd. distillery was founded as early as 1872 and initially focused on producing the Japanese spirit "Shoshu." It wasn’t until 1985 that the Shinshu Mars Distillery was established, producing its first whiskies and brandies for seven years with moderate success.
In 2011, the company embarked on a fresh start in whisky production and further expanded in 2016 with the opening of the Tsunuki Distillery. Since then, the production of whisky has seen significant success, with Hombo Shuzo Company being honored as the "Craft Producer of the Year" in 2017.
